Format of Visits
I offer assemblies, classroom-based sessions, creative writing workshops and book signings. Each visit is tailored to the age group and learning goals of the school. Teachers receive a short preparation guide beforehand, and printable worksheets can be supplied on request.
Fees (In-Person Visits)

Note: Full day typically runs 9am to 3pm and can be adapted to suit your school timetable.

Travel and Expenses
- Travel within 25 miles of RH16 is included.
- For schools further away, a mileage rate of 45p per mile applies or appropriate transport costs.
- Locations requiring overnight accommodation or train travel will be quoted individually.
Book Sales
- Schools are encouraged to offer books for purchase on or before the visit.
- I can supply an order form in advance and bring stock on the day.
- Signed copies are available for all pupils and staff.

Quick FAQs
What do you need from the school on the day?
A hall or classroom space (depending on the session), a projector/screen if you’d like visuals, and a teacher in the room for classroom sessions. I’ll confirm everything in advance so it’s easy for your staff.
How many pupils can you work with?
Assemblies can be whole-school. Workshops work best as one class at a time. If you have a large year group, we can split into multiple sessions across the day.
Do you provide resources for teachers?
Yes. I can supply a short prep guide, suggested questions, and printable worksheets where helpful. If you have a theme, topic or curriculum link, tell me and I’ll tailor it.
Can we do a book signing and pre-orders?
Absolutely. I can send an order form in advance and bring stock on the day, or work with your preferred supplier. Signed copies are available for pupils and staff.
What about safeguarding / DBS?
I am DBS checked. Schools usually keep a member of staff present during sessions and follow their standard visitor procedures. If you need specific paperwork, let me know what your policy requires and I’ll support it.
